John Delmo – Managing Partner
John Delmo is the managing partner of McLean Delmo Bentleys.
John has more than 30 years’ experience in professional and commercial accounting. He is a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a Fellow of the Taxation Institute and a Registered Company Auditor.
John delivers clients a complete business service with proven experience in business planning and structuring, management consulting, mergers and acquisitions, international taxation and audit procedures.
Tina Polimeni – Partner
Tina Polimeni is a member of CPA Australia, a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, a Fellow of the Taxation Institute of Australia, with a Graduate Diploma in Applied Information Systems and more than 20 years’ experience in the profession.
Tina's expertise lies in management consulting, taxation, business planning and structuring, business valuations and computer system evaluation and review, all of which complement her accounting expertise to provide a valuable service to a broad range of clients.
David Taylor – Partner
David Taylor is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and has a Diploma of Business Studies (Accounting).
David has been in public practice since 1980, joined McLean Delmo in 1990 and has been a Business Services Partner since 1999. He consults on taxation and financial matters to a range of small to medium size enterprises and high wealth individuals and is the Partner in Charge of the Estate and Succession Planning division of our practice.
Jamie Bishop – Partner
Jamie Bishop has over 12 years’ experience in public practice and has been with the firm since 1999. He is a member of CPA Australia and has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Tasmania.
Jamie’s extensive experience in business services enables him to work closely with clients and advise them on financial accounting and taxation compliance. Jamie has specialist skills in business structuring, management consulting and business valuation.
Martin Fensome – Partner
Martin Fensome has been providing both external and internal audit services to clients operating in a variety of industry sectors since 1984.Such clients include listed public companies, large and small proprietary companies and trusts. In addition, he has significant experience in providing due diligence services and investigations.
Martin has been involved in various activities for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and the Australian CPA via membership of various committees and has had significant involvement in the CA Program for the Institute. He is a regular speaker on Financial Reporting around Australia.
Rod Hutton – Partner
Rod has more than 30 years experience in providing accounting services including audit, taxation advice, management consultancy, accounting and financial planning advice.
Rod has extensive audit experience in public audits with the Victorian Auditor General's Office and in the private sector incorporating various industries including Health, Local Government, Manufacturing, Wholesale Distribution, Retail, Education, Aged Care, Superannuation, Registered Organisations and the Not-For-Profit sector. In addition to the extensive audit experience, Rod has provided taxation and business services to range of organisations and individuals.
Rod is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, a Registered Company and Superannuation Auditor, Registered Tax Agent, Certified Financial Planner and a member of the Institute of Company Directors.
James Hyett – Partner
James is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Registered Migration Agent (MARN 0957324).
Ian Kinder – Director Financial Services
Ian Kinder has over 25 years’ experience in public practice and the private sector and joined the firm in March 2016.
Ian is a Member of CPA Australia & the Financial Planning Association of Australia (CFP) and has a Bachelor of Business from Swinburne University.
Ian has provided taxation, small business services and financial planning services via his own firm prior to merging his firm with McLean Delmo Bentleys. Ian has extensive experience in tax planning, wealth accumulation, superannuation, retirement planning and investment advice.
Michael Lavery – Director Financial Services
Michael joined the financial services industry in 1996 commencing work with a small independently owned financial services firm that specialised in the outsourcing of financial services to the accounting profession.
In 2000 he took up a position with Deutsche Bank in their financial planning division. In this role he was responsible for providing high level technical advice to wealthy individuals and their families as well as wide ranging investment advice.
In 2005 Michael joined McLean Delmo Financial Services. While employed predominantly in an advising role Michael was responsible for transforming the business into a transparent fee for service business that looks after the needs of a diverse range of accounting and private clients. He has been instrumental in fostering greater working relationships between the accounting and financial services divisions of the firm.
Alan Ling – Partner
Alan Ling is a Registered Tax Agent and a Fellow of the Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants.
Alan specialises in business consulting, tax planning, business review and business migration. Many of his clients are foreign nationals with business interest in Australia. Alan has managed the affairs of numerous small-to-medium sized enterprises and high net worth individuals.
Harold Lourie – Partner
Harold has been in the accounting profession since 1978, is a Registered Tax Agent, member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
Harold provides professional and personal services to a wide variety of business and high wealth individual clients including business structuring, taxation, management consulting, accounting and executorships. Harold joined McLean Delmo Bentleys in August 2015 following the successful merger of his former firm where he was the managing partner and which he joined in 1990 after immigrating from South Africa.
Ray Short - Partner
Ray is a Partner in our business services division. He has over 15 years’ accounting experience working across a range of industries.
His clients include Australian companies, tax consolidated groups, foreign owned companies, unit and discretionary trusts, partnerships, individuals and superannuation funds.
Ray’s career highlights include working with clients to help achieve their own specific goals and visions.
Sharon Winter – Tax Partner
Sharon commenced in public practice in 1993 and spent the first 22 years of her career with Big 4 accounting firms. She joined McLean Delmo Bentleys as a Tax Partner in October 2015.
Sharon has an extensive knowledge of general corporate tax issues gained through a comprehensive client base. She has provided advice to corporate clients, owned either in Australian or Overseas, on income tax and indirect taxes. She endeavours to add value to the tax compliance obligations of her clients by ensuring an appropriate scope of review is agreed upon upfront and timeframes for completion are met.
Sharon’s experience includes advising on the tax implications of acquisitions and divestments of businesses and companies, corporate structuring and restructuring, public offerings and taxation consultancy in relation to general corporate tax issues. Sharon’s client base has provided her with industry experience in building and construction, utilities, namely electricity and water, wholesale and retail, advertising and publishing.
Sharon is a Member of th Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and has a Combine Bachelor of Commerce and Law.
Daniel Zadnik – Director, Bentleys Finance
Daniel joined Mclean Delmo in 2008 following 18 years with the ANZ Banking Group where he held various senior and executive roles within the Corporate and Business Banking divisions.
In his role, Daniel works closely with business owners from large national companies to small SME family owned business to ensure an optimal financing package including structure, price, security and lending covenants. His experience covers the full spectrum of financing solutions ranging from traditional senior debt funding to complex private equity structures.
Daniel holds a B.Bus (Banking & Finance) and an MBA from Monash University. Daniel has been recognised with a number of industry awards.
