Francis Gu - Principal

Francis is Principal of McLean Delmo Bentleys China and Chief Executive Officer of its Shanghai Office.

With over 12 years' experience in the finance industry, Francis specialises in advising on cross-border transactions between China and Australia.

James Hyett – Partner

James is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and a Registered Migration Agent (MARN 0957324). 

With a proven ability to forge trusted long term relationships with his clients, he assists individuals and businesses with their compliance obligations. He has also accumulated considerable experience assisting with the establishment of businesses and investment structures in Australia.  He offers a broad knowledge of accounting, taxation, payroll, corporations law and immigration issues to our clients, and has strong networks both locally and globally.  He has led immigration business units in Melbourne and Perth and has experience with international networks in the delivery of global immigration solutions to clients. James specialises in: Accounting, taxation, immigration and advisory services for foreign companies with business activities in Australia.

Michael Lavery – Director Financial Services

In 2005 Michael joined McLean Delmo Financial Services. While employed predominantly in an advising role Michael was responsible for transforming the business into a transparent fee for service business that looks after the needs of a diverse range of accounting and private clients.

He has been instrumental in fostering greater working relationships between the accounting and financial services divisions of the firm. Michael was promoted to Partner in 2015.

Rohan Mansfield – Partner Superannuation

Rohan has been in public practice since 1990, and joined McLean Delmo Bentleys in June 2012 as Leader of the firm’s Superannuation team.  Rohan was promoted to Partner in 2015.

He manages the firm’s 400 Self-Managed Superannuation Funds providing consulting, accounting and auditing services.

Rohan specialises in assisting Trustees of Self-Managed Superannuation Funds dealing with compliance issues including in relation to investments, contributions, and pensions.

Andrew Pearce – Partner, Digital, Innovation and Analytics

Andrew is an information technology and risk management specialist with over 20 years' experience working with small, medium and large, national and international organisations.

Andrew leads the Digital, Innovation and Analytics practice that focuses on helping clients thrive in a digitally enabled, data-rich, fast changing world.

Andrew has worked with organisations of various sizes both here in Australia and across the globe.  He is also actively engaged in technology and innovation collaboration centres such as the York Butter Factory and working with a number of technology “up-starts” disrupting traditional business models.  This experience will be leveraged for the benefit of clients who are massively affected by a fast-moving tidal wave of technological change.

Sharon Winter – Tax Partner

Sharon commenced in public practice in 1993 and spent the first 22 years of her career with Big 4 accounting firms. She joined McLean Delmo Bentleys as a Tax Partner in October 2015.

Sharon has an extensive knowledge of general corporate tax issues gained through a comprehensive client base.  She has provided advice to corporate clients, owned either in Australian or Overseas, on income tax and indirect taxes. She endeavours to add value to the tax compliance obligations of her clients by ensuring an appropriate scope of review is agreed upon upfront and timeframes for completion are met.

Sharon’s experience includes advising on the tax implications of acquisitions and divestments of businesses and companies, corporate structuring and restructuring, public offerings and taxation consultancy in relation to general corporate tax issues.  Sharon’s client base has provided her with industry experience in building and construction, utilities, namely electricity and water, wholesale and retail, advertising and publishing.

Sharon is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand and has a Combine Bachelor of Commerce and Law.
